The Tibet Support Group of Arunachal Pradesh has appealed to the Centre to confer the Bharat Ratna Award on Tibetan spiritual leader, the 14th Dalai Lama for his services to India and humanity.
A delegation of the Tibet Support Group of Arunachal Pradesh called on Union DoNER Minister Dr Jitendra Singh in New Delhi recently and discussed on Tibet issue and the conferment of the country’s highest civilian award on the 14th Dalai Lama.
AIR correspondent reports, a memorandum to Prime Minister Narendra Modi was also submitted through the Union Minister, urging him to consider the proposal.
