We are celebrating our 25 years by bringing you the story of Contact and the people who have made it happen, and our archive is still there for you to access at any time, and below you can read the story of Contact, how it came into being and the wonderful reflections of the people who have made it happen over the years.

Tibetans Safe

August 1, 2018;

Speaking about a student group’s protest in Arunachal Pradesh (AP), Sikyong Lobsang Sangay, the President of Central Tibetan Administration assured people that all Tibetans are safe, with situations contained with help from the government. He confirmed that his office is in touch with officials there. Jamphel Wangdue, President of AP’s State Religion and Cultural Affairs said that majority of the tribal community and Tibetans co-exist peacefully.
