We are celebrating our 25 years by bringing you the story of Contact and the people who have made it happen, and our archive is still there for you to access at any time, and below you can read the story of Contact, how it came into being and the wonderful reflections of the people who have made it happen over the years.

When and how Contact will re-emerge and evolve will be determined by those who become involved.

The Bharat Ratna

December 23, 2016;

Senior Indian politicians have called on the Indian government to bestow the Bharat Ratna, the highest civilian award of the Republic of India, to HH the Dalai Lama for promoting peace and for being a messenger of Indian values to the world since his arrival in India in 1959. This move is supported by the All Party Parliamentary members’ forum on Tibet and the general council of the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council.
