We are celebrating our 25 years by bringing you the story of Contact and the people who have made it happen, and our archive is still there for you to access at any time, and below you can read the story of Contact, how it came into being and the wonderful reflections of the people who have made it happen over the years.

When and how Contact will re-emerge and evolve will be determined by those who become involved.

Monk Arrested

March 18, 2015;

Lobsang Kelsang, a 19-year-old monk from Kirti monastery, was arrested in Ngaba after a solo demonstration against the Chinese government. He carried prayer flags and a portrait of HH the Dalai Lama while calling for freedom for Tibetans and the long life of HH the Dalai Lama. Within minutes, Chinese authorities arrived and arrested him. Lobsang Kelsang is the second monk from Kirti Monastery to be arrested this month.
