When and how Contact will re-emerge and evolve will be determined by those who become involved.
At the Larung Gar Buddhist Academy in Sichuan, currently undergoing partial demolition and a reduction in size, Radio Free Asia reports that the forced evictions of monks and nuns are now almost complete. Nearly 5,000 people have been expelled during the past year, with 250 people remaining who are due for eviction. Demolition of the remaining 2,000 homes is ongoing.
