Earthquake in Yushu

October 19, 2016;

An earthquake measuring 6.4 on the richter scale shook Tibet early yesterday morning and was followed by two strong aftershocks. No casualties or major damages have been reported at the moment. The epicenter was in Atod Xiang, about 249 kilometers west of Yushu City where in 2001, a 7.1 magnitude earthquake killed over 2,698 people.
