We are celebrating our 25 years by bringing you the story of Contact and the people who have made it happen, and our archive is still there for you to access at any time, and below you can read the story of Contact, how it came into being and the wonderful reflections of the people who have made it happen over the years.

When and how Contact will re-emerge and evolve will be determined by those who become involved.

Detained and Beaten

October 20, 2016;

Lobsang Tsultrim, a monk from Kirti monastery in Ngaba County in Tibet, was detained by Chinese police for staging a solo protest in the streets of Ngaba county’s main town against the Chinese occupation of Tibet. He was severely beaten and is in hospital in a critical condition. He called out for Tibetan freedom and long life of His Holiness the Dalai Lama during his lone protest.
