We are celebrating our 25 years by bringing you the story of Contact and the people who have made it happen, and our archive is still there for you to access at any time, and below you can read the story of Contact, how it came into being and the wonderful reflections of the people who have made it happen over the years.

When and how Contact will re-emerge and evolve will be determined by those who become involved.

Birthday Celebration Banned

July 5, 2018;

Chinese authorities in Tibet’s traditional province of Amdo have deployed the military prior to the Dalai Lama’s birthday. Tibetans have been warned to expect severe punishments without trial for sending birthday wishes or disseminating any information about the celebration of His Holiness’ birthday. Malho county is a restive area where a large number of self-immolation protests have taken place. HH the Dalai Lama turns 83 on July 6.
