The Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) has appointed liaison officers whose brief is to reach out to the Chinese people and raise their understanding of Tibet and the issues faced by the Tibetan people.

Chinese liaison officers based in Europe, Australia and the US, together with the Representative at the Office of Tibet in Taiwan, visited Dharamshala earlier this month to meet Sikyong Lobsang Sangay and Kalon Dicki Chhoyang of the Department of Information and International Relations. They also met officials of the Tibet Policy Institute, a think tank, and other members of the CTA staff and took the opportunity to share their experiences in reaching out to the Chinese people.
