DHARAMSHALA: Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama released a documentary made by a production house based in Shimla. The film focuses on the life of Himachal’s “six-time chief minister and tallest politician of this state. The documentary was screened at Tibetan Children Village.
Himachal Pradesh chief minister participated in the Dalai Lama’s 80th birthday celebrations, and said the Tibetan spiritual leader was an “apostle of peace and struggle”. “The Dalai Lama has consistently advocated policies of non-violence, even in the face of extreme aggression and carried out his humanitarian efforts. He became the first Nobel laureate to be recognized for his concern for global environmental problems too,” he said.
The Dalai Lama, on his part, said that it was an honour for him to release the documentary on life and time of Virbhadra Singh. “Virbhadra’s life has been very successful, and I hope the future too will hold meaning and peace,” he said.
