KANGRA, March 21

Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama today said that unfortunately the Chinese hardliners consider him a trouble maker but the general Chinese public is very positive about him. He was responding speaking to media persons on his arrival at Kangra airport this afternoon.

“Now, these days I think for the last few years every week some Chinese people and Buddhists from the mainland China come to see me”. He said that when he meets Chinese Buddhists here he tells them, “Of course as soon as on the government level there is some change I am ready go there for Buddhist brothers and sisters.

”When asked whether there was any chances of change in the Chinese government as the people were supporting him, Dalai Lama clarified that it was difficult for the time being because the China was having an authoritarian government. When asked about strong reaction of China regarding his participation in international conference, the Dalai Lama replied that it was more or less a routine reaction of that government. — OC
