We are celebrating our 25 years by bringing you the story of Contact and the people who have made it happen, and our archive is still there for you to access at any time, and below you can read the story of Contact, how it came into being and the wonderful reflections of the people who have made it happen over the years.

“Stop the Demolition”

October 22, 2016;

United State Congress Human Rights Commission representatives have written to the Chinese Ambassador to the United States regarding the demolition and evictions currently underway at the Larung Gar Buddhist Institute in Tibet. They demand that the Chinese government should “stop the demolitions and evictions, rebuild and restore the affected infrastructure, and permit…those…who wish to pursue their Buddhist faith…without government interference or ‘guidance’.”
