H.H. The Dalai Lama discussing ideas on Smart City Dharamshala with Mohit Angrish and Rijul Shergill (Global Shapers – Dharamshala hub)

The Dharamshala Smart City project was blessed by the valuable suggestions of His Holiness The Dalai Lama. The team working on the Smart City mission and the volunteers from Global Shapers, Dharamshala hub met His Holiness The Dalai Lama for his valuable suggestions for development of Dharamshala as Smart City.
Of all the things discussed, the key suggestions from his His Holiness were:
- Development of earthquake-proof infrastructures should be ensured, so that the people are safe.
- Harmony and sense of sharing among different communities residing in Dharamshala should be promoted.
- He recommended rain water harvesting as a smart solution to conserve water and will also be a smart step for the future.
- He also mentioned that along with paying attention to the big cities with more and more flyovers and cars, the focus should also be on the development of city peripheral areas as well as the rural areas.

As an elderly man who has lived in Dharamshala happily and in ease and comfort for over 55 years I appreciate your plan to turn Dharamshala into a smart city and pray for the fulfillment of your goal as desired.
